Announcing Our $25 Million Renovation
The Hyatt Regency Orange County is proud to announce that we are undergoing a $25 million property improvement project, set to be complete by April 2010! The renovation will include all guestrooms and suites, meeting space, lobby, front desk, restaurant, lounge, recreation deck, and fitness center. The hotel will remain open and fully operational during the renovation, and while there will be signs of work underway, you have our commitment to continue to provide outstanding guest service, dining and accommodations.
All North Tower suite renovations are currently complete, and include new carpet, wall-coverings, furniture, case goods, flat screen televisions and more. Beginning December 20th, the same improvements will be made to the South Tower guestrooms, which are scheduled to be complete by the end of February 2010.
The South Tower pool, Jacuzzi and tennis courts will be closed for renovation until early December. The pool and Jacuzzi in the North Tower will remain open during the renovation and the 24-hour fitness center will be relocated to the 2nd floor of the South Tower. Once complete, the South Tower recreation area will boast refinished tennis and basketball courts, pool deck, and an expanded and remodeled fitness center.
All 65,000 square feet of meeting space will be updated, to include new carpet and wall-coverings. The 10,000 square foot Royal Ballroom will also receive new ceiling light fixtures. Renovations on the meeting space are set to begin December 15th and all space to be completed by mid-April 2010.
The hotel’s lobby, including the restaurant, bar and front desk will undergo a complete makeover beginning December 15th. Alternative check-in, dining and bar locations will be available in the hotel. The hotel’s front desk is scheduled to open in February 2010 and the new restaurant and lounge concepts are set to reopen in April 2010.
Renovation work will take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
